Singles on the Go - Active Singles Club

This is a group of single people at Trilogy who want to find other people to share in the activities at Trilogy or elsewhere and who want to make new friends along the way. If you want to do something or go somewhere, propose it to the group and you may find others who want to join you.

We normally meet every month on the second Saturday of the month at 1:00 PM in The Grille.  RSVP to Marie Kerr by noon the day before the meeting. There's no cost for the monthly meeting, but everyone is responsible for any food and drink which they order from the Grill.

Some activities that have been proposed so far include:

-Monthly Singles Luncheon Meeting at the Grill
-Shows at the Event Center at Trilogy
-Shows at the Clermont Performing Arts Center
-Shows at the Garden Theater in Winter Garden
-Shows at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts
-Progressive Dinners in Members' Homes
-Dinner and a Movie
-Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour
-ICE! at Gaylord Palms
-Candlelight Processional and Dinner at Epcot
-Shows at The Villages and Athens Theater in DeLand, FL

Additional Information

Singles on the Go – Club Guidelines

  1. The purpose of this club is for the enjoyment of its members who are single people who live in the Trilogy Orlando community who wish to participate in activities with other people in the same situation.
  2. Members of the club must be single persons in good standing with the club who live in the Trilogy Orlando community.
    1. Any member who is a nuisance to other member(s) of the club may be removed from club membership by a voice vote at a club meeting after sufficient discussion of the issue(s) they raised.  Such a former member will be removed from the club roster and will not be invited to future club activities.
  3. The club will hold periodic meetings (e.g. monthly) where new activities will be presented. Any issues raised by club members will be discussed and resolved by a voice vote of those members who are present at the meeting.  There will be no quorum requirement to resolve issues but at least one of the club leaders (currently Marie Kerr or Vi Nicosia) must be present to record the resolution.
  4. Auxiliary guests are people who are married or separated who have been invited to attend activities by a club member.
    1. Auxiliary guests may participate in club activities and may be included on the email distribution list(s), but they may not vote on any club issue.
    2. Auxiliary guests will be distinguished from Members on club rosters.
  5. Club leaders will periodically distribute the club membership roster and email distribution list to club members and auxiliary guests to be used for club business only.
  6. Members and Auxiliary Guests may recommend activities for other members of the group:
    1. By suggesting them at a club meeting or
    2. Via phone, email, etc. to one of the club leaders or
    3. Via email directly to club members and auxiliary guests.
  7. Activities that require the purchase of tickets with assigned seats will have a Captain assigned to that activity. The Captain will:
    1. Be a club Member in good standing.
    2. Collect money in advance of purchasing tickets for that event.  The money collected will cover the price of the ticket along with any fees or taxes assessed by the venue.
    3. The Captain will purchase tickets for the event and will provide those tickets to the members who have pre-paid for that event as soon as practical (e.g. at the next club meeting).
    4. The Captain may choose to have multiple cut-off date(s) for an event so that the best seats available on those date(s) may be purchased for those members who have pre-paid by those date(s). This may result in multiple smaller groups who may not be sitting together at those events. The people who paid earlier will have the best seats that were available on those date(s).
    5. Attendees will notify the Captain if they cannot attend the event.  Neither the club nor the Captain will be responsible for finding someone else willing to purchase their unused ticket.
